Anne Arundel County Police Traffic Safety Enforcement Results And Parked Commercial Vehicles

Millersville, MD (Arundel.News & AAFA)- Distracted drivers, speeders and reckless drivers will be targeted in a new traffic safety initiative enforced by county police. Citing recent crashes, officers from the Anne Arundel County Traffic Safety Division will be conducting additional directed enforcement patrols aimed at sending a message to drivers. Slow it down and pay attention ! 
During a morning enforcement patrol on Ritchie Highway from Route 100 to Route 50, officers made 50 traffic stops on Tuesday 3/22. Eighteen drivers received violation tickets during that directed enforcement, with a total of 39 additional warnings issued. Out of eight commercial vehicle inspections conducted during the enforcement , officers also pulled two commercial vehicles off the road for safety violations.
Drivers who sees dangerous or reckless driving are encouraged to call 911 to report the vehicle and tag information. You should never attempt to stop or confront a reckless or impaired driver.
