Recovered Stolen Auto - Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE (AACPD) - On January 17, 2023, at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers attempted to stop a speeding vehicle in the area of Dorsey Road and Central Avenue in Glen Burnie. The vehicle fled, and due to the reckless and negligent manner in which it was fleeing, attempts to stop it were discontinued. Within minutes a 911 call was received for a motor vehicle collision near 8th Avenue and Mae Wagner Lane. Witnesses observed the driver of the vehicle flee on foot. Officers learned that the vehicle was reported stolen the day prior. A perimeter was established, and with the assistance of K-9 officers, the driver was located hiding in a nearby wooded area and taken into custody without incident. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.
