Anne Arundel County Police Investigating Carjacking & Assault

Glen Burnie, MD (Arundel.news & AAFA)- A 15 year old juvenile is facing serious charges after she allegedly helped to steal a car in Glen Burnie.  According to the victim, the teenaged female and another unknown male suspect assaulted her in the 100 block of Warwickshire Lane before taking off in her 2020 Buick Encore. Police say it happened around 11:00 PM on 4/19/21 when the victim was reportedly knocked to the ground as the suspects removed her keys. According to the following release of information from the Anne Arundel County Police, the victim did not suffer serious injury. The unidentified juvenile suspect is being charged as a juvenile with Carjacking, Robbery, Unlawful Vehicle Taking, 2nd Degree Assault and Theft ($25,000 to under $100,000). Investigators are still working to identify the male suspect involved in the case. The limited description of that male is: Black male, approximately 5'5"-5'7", all dark clothing.

"On April 19, 2021 at approximately 11:00 p.m. Northern District officers responded for a carjacking in the 100 block of Warwickshire Lane in Glen Burnie.  The adult female victim parked her car, a 2020 Buick Encore, and was approached by two suspects, one male and one female. The suspects knocked the victim down, removed her car keys and fled in the victim’s vehicle. A lookout was broadcast to neighboring jurisdictions for the vehicle which was located by the Baltimore City Police in the 5600 block of Sagra Road. The female suspect, who is a juvenile, was taken into custody and charged on a juvenile citation with Carjacking, Robbery, Unlawful Vehicle Taking, 2nd Degree Assault and Theft ($25,000 to under $100,000). The male suspect was not located. The victim did not report any injuries. Northern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6135 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700."
